GOTV Campaign

THE CHALLENGE: What Our Client Needed
When is helping a billionaire earn a dollar a year considered a nice return on investment? When Mayor Mike Bloomberg, the incumbent Republican mayor of New York City, is running for re-election. Bottom Line was brought in to handle the marketing to get out the Jewish vote.
OUR STRATEGY: What Bottom Line Did
and knowledge of the demographics within the New York Jewish community, our first step was to develop an effective message; “Don’t Take Things for Granted.” We then set up and directed a photo shoot of the Mayor with members of the community.  Finally, we created a targeted direct mail campaign, door hangers and palm cards focusing on the issues important to the community, including crime, terror, jobs, and quality of life.
THE RESULT: How The Client Benefited
Election results showed that a higher percentage of Jewish voters voted for Mike Bloomberg than in the previous election. According to The New York Times, “He [Mike Bloomberg] won a second term by… carrying every Assembly district in which Jews predominate.”
